Ways to Woo Your Wedding Party

Saying ‘I do’ is an exciting time – but we all know that it wouldn’t be the same without your squad standing beside you! Although the months leading up to your wedding can be exhausting – it’s always comforting to know that your friends and family are willing to lend a hand. Here are a few of our favorite ways that we have seen brides and grooms thank their wedding parties.

1. Start off on the right foot
Although traditionally, the bridal party gift is given closer to the wedding day, it doesn’t mean that you can’t start off the wedding process with a nod to how much you appreciate your crew! When you are asking your nearest and dearest to be a part of your big day, don’t be afraid to get creative and personal – it lets them know just how much you appreciate them! Some of our favorite ways include a sweet note (we swoon for these BHLDN and Rifle Paper Co. cards), hand lettered bottles of wine (Art + Alexander and Justine Ma are a few of our local favorites for hand lettering) and cigar boxes (because we can’t leave out the fellas!).

2. Involve them in the fun, not just the work!
Your wedding day will be everything you dreamed of – most likely because you’ve put in countless hours of work (and your bridal party probably has too). Although we’re sure they are happy to help create place card holders and favours and throw you a raging bachelor/bachelorette party, don’t forget to include them in the fun aspects of the planning as well! From hosting a party to try (and decide on) your signature cocktails to menu tastings, your group will feel loved and thanked when getting to experience some of the wedding party perks.

3. Don’t forget they are individuals – even if they are all wearing the same outfit
The reason you’ve chosen your wedding party is because you couldn’t imagine saying ‘I do’ without them. You know them inside out, so don’t be afraid to get personal. If one of your besties loves pearl while the other is into rose gold, consider buying them different gifts! A little thoughtfulness goes a long way and they’ll be sure to appreciate the gesture.

4. It’s all about you (but you like sharing the spotlight, right?)
Although the focus of the wedding day is all about you (how could it not be!), it is also the perfect opportunity to show gratitude for your wedding party. From small actions like making sure you have snacks and water in the limo (this will save you later – we promise), to an actual acknowledgement in your thank you speech – your wedding party will be feeling the love!

5. Sharing is caring
No one is more excited to see your wedding photos than you – but your bridal party probably wants to share in those memories (and grab a potential profile picture) too! In the weeks that follow your wedding, make sure to share your photos with your wedding party when you receive them from your photographer. It’s a quick way to send a final thank you to the people you love!
